Bulk Slug Generator

Turn titles into lowercase URL slugs, retain non-Latin letters and flag collisions within a batch.

One title per line, up to 500 titles. Latin accents are simplified, apostrophes removed and punctuation replaced by hyphens. Non-Latin letters and marks are retained. This does not check whether a path already exists on your website.

Generate a starting point for a URL

Enter one title per line to produce a lowercase slug and its encoded URL path. The generator removes apostrophes, simplifies Latin accents and replaces spaces or punctuation with hyphens. It preserves non-Latin letters rather than inventing an English transliteration.

The encoded path is a URL-safe representation of the same slug. An Urdu title can therefore have a readable Unicode slug and a path containing percent-encoded characters. Those are two representations of the same text, rather than two different pages.

Review collisions before publishing

Two titles can normalize to the same result. For example, a title with a Latin accent and another title without that accent may produce the same slug. The generator flags collisions within the current batch, including repeated titles, so you can choose a distinct path before creating the pages.

A title containing only punctuation produces an empty result and a note. The tool does not silently add a number or make up a replacement name. It also does not look at your existing WordPress pages, taxonomies or server routes.

Take care with an existing address

Use the generated text as a starting point, then remove unnecessary wording if that makes the address clearer. Changing a published URL requires a separate decision about redirects, internal links and other references. Do not rename an established page merely to match the output of a generator.

Export the batch to review the original title, proposed slug and encoded path together. If you are planning a migration, use the Redirect Map Checker for the supplied mapping and test the live responses after implementation.

Your inputs are processed locally. See the Privacy Policy for website requests and the Terms of Use for the toolkit’s scope.
